The actress currently lives with her family in New York City. Chando was a student in Manhattan College when she became an actor. Chando was the first Maddie Coleman of the television soap opera As World Changes. She played this role between 2005 and 2007 before returning for several months towards the end of 2009. Alexandra's acting debut was in her debut on the TV show House Blend in which she was Jenna Harper. After three years she played in the American TV soap opera that aired in CBS, As the World Turns in the role of Maddie Coleman. In 2009 Chando appeared in American documentary TV series True life and further appeared on the show Sherri. She starred two episodes in the American comedy drama Glory Daze. The other TV credits she has are Castle, Hindsight Dead People and Outcast.
